So, been a long while since my last update - life contrives to prevent me getting online just now.
Rapid synopsis: I'm working as an outdoor instructor at the moment - all the usual stuff; climbing, archery, kayaking. I'm getting as much white water kayaking done as I can and I've registered to do my mountain leader award.
Photography-wise, there's not a lot happening just now - I have too much else going on. One good thing that occured was that I got a really nice set of prints made as a portfolio and got a chance to show it to Ian Cameron (who is one of my particular photographic idols, his website is called transientlight if you're interested). The good result was that he really liked my stuff, and gave me a lot of really good advice about how to pick and choose which photos I choose to print or put online. I don;t have any photo trips up north scheduled just now, so it may be a while before I get any new stuff up.
Out of interest, I'm toying with the idea of buying a Sigma DP1 and a cheap waterproof digital if I can find one. The reason I don't put up many pictures of kayaking or climbing or whatever is that I tend to have my hands full of ice axes or paddle shafts when I'm being bold and daring, so it's a bit uinfeasible to get out the old "Terry" Nikon and "lil' shaky" my tripod.
We'll see :-D
