Plenty of clouds in the sky in the afternoon prevented the sunlight from growing too harsh and generating too much contrast, but occasional partings and thinner sections of cloud let enough sunlight through to provide interesting and dynamic lighting which really exaggerated the depth and texture of the landscape. As we headed back off to the car I turned back for a moment and couldn't resist this final shot of the falls.
